About Propelus
Award winning co‑creators Jude Simms & David Powney brought over five decades of combined expertise in neuro‑physiotherapy, rehabilitation, biomechanics and exercise to develop the Flex4ward. The product is a patient‑driven innovation imagined, tested, and designed in their Scottish Highland physio clinics to provide simple, affordable, and discreet mobility support.
About the Flex4ward
The Flex4ward is a soft, fabric‑based exoskeleton designed to help people who struggle to walk move more safely and confidently. A Class 1 medical device, created by physiotherapists and shaped by real patient experiences, it provides gentle assistance to the muscles that lift the foot and flex the hip and knee—helping initiate each step, reduce knee hyperextension, and improve overall gait stability. It’s completely non‑invasive and can be worn discreetly under clothing, making it easy to use throughout daily life.
Unlike rigid braces or bulky devices, Flex4ward works with the body’s natural movement patterns rather than restricting them. The result is smoother, balanced, more controlled walking, greater confidence, and a meaningful step toward independence for people living with neurological gait impairments or muscle weakness. Available in several different sizes. Please note UK shipping only currently.
How brilliant they are at innovating, lets give these people their own TV Show.

What our customers say about Flex4ward
Still on a high, parents are thrilled and the wife and daughter think it brilliant they will no longer have to wait for me to catch up when we walk into town.
My walking gait has improved considerably, helps to stop my knee hyperextending and I was able to run on the treadmill for the first time since my stroke.
Steve Austin (The Bionic Man) now has nothing on me. It’s so much easier and less effort to walk wearing the Flex4ward.
